How to Measure?

Accurate measurements are crucial for ensuring that your new blinds fit perfectly and function smoothly. Follow this step-by-step guide to measure your doors and windows accurately.

Tools You’ll Need

  • Steel tape measure
  • Pen and paper or a digital device to record measurements
  • Ladder (if necessary)
  • Assistant (optional but helpful)

Inside Recess

Width Measurement
  • Measure the width of the window at the top, middle, and bottom.
  • Record the smallest measurement to ensure the blinds fit within the window frame without obstruction.
Height Measurement
  • Measure the height of the window at the left, middle, and right.
  • Record the largest measurement to ensure full coverage of the window height.

Outside Recess

Width Measurement
  • Measure the width of the area you want the blinds to cover.
  • Add 5-7 cms on each side to ensure proper coverage and light control.
Height Measurement
  • Measure the height from the top of the mounting area to the desired endpoint (usually 5-7 cms below the window sill or floor).
  • Add 5-7 cms to the top for mounting brackets.

Tips for Accurate Measurements

  • Always use a steel tape measure for the most accurate results.
  • Double-check your measurements to avoid mistakes.
  • Record your measurements in width x height format (e.g., 100 cm x 150 cm).
  • For inside mounts, measure the exact window opening. For outside mounts, measure the area you want to cover.
